The α6700 combines the latest AI technology with the superior image quality of Sony's α series in a compact APS-C body. The lightweight α6700 is built for unfettered creativity with improved subject recognition, the latest capture technology for stills and video, and compatibility with E-mount lenses.

The improved 26.0 megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor is packed with Sony image sensor technologies. Unrivaled sensitivity, resolution and dynamic range thanks to the back-illuminated format, slit-free on-chip lenses and AR coating (anti-reflection sealing glass).

With up to 8 times more processing power than its predecessors, the latest BIONZ XR image processing processor ensures natural color transitions for still images and videos with natural shades and realistic colors, with low noise levels.

The α6700's standard sensitivity range is from ISO 100 to ISO 32000 and offers a wide dynamic range, allowing you to capture natural gradation with high contrast without over or under exposure.

The α6700's exposure control amazes.The new AE algorithm, originally developed for Full Frame types, accurately detects the skin area of ​​faces and adjusts the exposure accordingly when shooting stills and videos. In addition, it preserves the realism of colors even under different light sources - be it sunlight or theater or stadium lighting - and the color of skin tones, sky or foliage will look more natural.

"Creative Appearance" offers greater creative flexibility and simplicity. There are 10 presets that can be used as is or customized with 8 adjustable parameters to suit the subject or scene, be it stills, video or live streaming. You can easily set the mode before shooting, so your pictures can be shared immediately.

Shoot confidently handheld or in low-light conditions - Five-axis built-in optical image stabilization with precision gyro sensors for up to 5 stops of shake correction. A first for an APS-C camera, the α6700 includes the HEIF format, which features smooth 10-bit gradation for more realistic reproduction of sky and portrait skin tones. The HEIF format also uses advanced compression technology to preserve image quality while significantly reducing file size and saving storage space.

The α6700 is equipped with an innovative AI processing unit that significantly increases its performance, including more accurate recognition of a wider range of subjects.

The α6700 uses the shape data of the subject to detect movement, thereby greatly improving the recognition of the human eye. It also uses detected human shapes and postures to accurately recognize body and head position, enabling the capture and tracking of subjects who turn away from the camera and whose faces are partially obscured by helmets or sunglasses.

In addition to people and animals, the α6700 now recognizes birds, insects, cars, trains and airplanes, giving you even more flexibility when shooting stills and videos. In addition to the eyes, the head and body are also detected (Real-time Eye AF function) in the Human and Animal settings, and now also in the Bird setting - animal recognition performance is more than 40% higher compared to the α6600.

The more advanced, more reliable, AI-based real-time tracking makes photography easier in a variety of situations, so you can focus on framing and composing the image. The α6700 even tracks people wearing helmets or animals turning away from the camera.
