Product description
Pushing the limits of APS-C imaging, the FUJIFILM X-H2 is a high-resolution mirrorless crop sensor camera that features a ground-breaking 40MP BSI sensor and an arsenal of cutting-edge features, packed into a small and durable X-series body. At the top of the X-System range, this high-performance camera inherits many of the GFX System's digital capture technology advances to deliver image quality, detail and color reproduction never before seen in a crop-sensor camera, while retaining its signature compact form factor and slim design. , which earned X-System a loyal fan base worldwide.
Ideal for architecture, travel and landscape photographers, the X-H2 features a back-illuminated APS-C format 40MP X-Trans 5 HR sensor that increases resolution and improves low-light performance compared to previous generations. First, as an X-Trans sensor, it uses a unique color filter array that inherently minimizes moiré and contributes to a more natural color reproduction; then the BSI design helps reduce noise and improve tonality and clarity; and finally, the design significantly reduces rolling shutter and other motion distortions, making it better suited for high-speed video and photo applications. The remarkable resolution enables 2x digital zoom and offers up to 13 stops of dynamic range.
The newly designed sensor is accompanied by a new engine - the X-Processor 5 - which uses 64-bit processing to achieve 3x faster speeds for both video and still photography tasks compared to the X-T4. On the video side, this enables recording with a bitrate of up to 720 mb/s.
On the camera side, this fast processing means faster shooting for shooting moving subjects. Working with an electronic shutter, you can shoot at speeds up to 20 fps, with a buffer containing 202 consecutive uncompressed raw frames. With the mechanical shutter, shooting at speeds of up to 15 fps is possible, and up to 1000 raw frames can be captured in a single burst.
Beneficial for both video and stills applications, the processing also favors a sophisticated and AI-supported autofocus system, helping to achieve 14 stops of dynamic range and enabling an increased sensitivity range of ISO 125-12800.
Despite its photography focus, the X-H2 has an impressive video system capable of 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording in 8K at 30 fps and DCI/UHD 4K at up to 60 fps and In Full HD even in 240p. Multiple codecs are supported, including H.265 and three levels of ProRes: high-bitrate 422 HQ, standard 422, and compressed 422 LT. In addition, at all frame rates and resolutions, a continuous recording time of up to 160 minutes is possible, which can be increased to 240 minutes with the external attachable fan.
Using the full-size HDMI port, 12-bit raw video recording is possible when paired with a compatible external recorder. Both ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW footage can be captured, as well as the option to work with F-Log or F-Log 2 profiles, and both formats support work up to open-gated 8K resolution.
Thanks to improved processing, autofocus performance is noticeably faster and more intelligent. This hybrid focusing system uses 425 phase detection points and is now sensitive down to -7 EV for truly low-light performance. In addition, the AI adaptive algorithm supported by deep learning means that this focus system is better suited to automatically recognize and track different subject types.
Pixel Shift Multishot takes multiple exposures in rapid succession, each exposure precisely shifting the image sensor by half a pixel, capturing the subject on a different part of the image sensor each time, and using Pixel Shift Combiner software to produce a single 160 megapixel image.
The built-in 5-axis sensor shift image stabilizer helps minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 7 degrees. This system works with most X-series lenses, including non-stabilized ones, and is beneficial when working with slower shutter speeds and shooting in difficult lighting conditions. In addition, the digital image stabilizer can be used during video recording to further help stabilize footage, especially when shooting handheld.
Film simulation modes allow you to reproduce the look and feel of many FUJIFILM film types, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Classic Neg., Nostalgic Neg., Pro Neg. Hi Pro Neg. Standard, Eterna, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Monochrome and Sepia. In addition, the Grain Effect (graininess) and the Color Chrome (color chrome) effect can be set for the appearance of images
