Urmai Gabriella - Jelena lányai

What would you give if one day you had the opportunity to move into the life you really want? With the person you really want? With an appearance that doesn't have to be compromised? Tell me, what price would you pay for that? Jelena's daughters knew exactly what they wanted from life and that they were therefore willing to give what Jelena asked for. Jelena, who is the keeper of hundreds of years of knowledge, a chronicler of destinies and a silent witness of great steps. Each of the twelve stories is a snapshot of ordinary people who have simple yet unattainable desires. And the noir short story that connects the stories is the tale of a woman who never wanted anything but to give these women a second chance, yet she is accused of taking the lives of all twelve of them. Where is the truth? Is there one or more? Everyone has it, or is it only the word of the law that matters? Gabriella Urmai's novel operates with the tool of mysticism, yet it holds a soberingly sharp mirror in front of us, in which we can see not only ourselves, but also our future.
