    Tillai Aurél is professor emeritus of the University of Pécs, holder of numerous awards, including the Kossuth Prize, who is well-known and recognized choir director and choir composer both here and abroad. He has taught conducting and music theory for more than half a century, founded and led legendary choirs (Pécs University Choir, Mecsek Choir, Pécs Chamber Choir), with which he toured almost all of Europe and won around seventy international awards in various competitions, in addition to domestic ones, atelier -led exercises, was a member of numerous international juries, which earned Hungarian choral art a serious status. The present volume contains his main single-sex works, which have already been sung by many choirs.
