Achieving super speed with the USB 3.1 protocol
Relying on the USB 3.1 Gen 1 super speed protocol, the D5-300's transfer speed can reach 220MB/s (tested with Seagate IronWolf 4TB RAID 0).
Note: The USB 3.0 standard was renamed USB3.1 Gen1 /USB3.2 Gen1 by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) in 2015/2019.

Cross-platform compatibility
TerraMaster RAID Manager is only compatible with versions below Mac OS（14.x） and Windows, it does not support Linux. If you want to use the D5-300 in a Linux environment, you must first create the array on either Mac OS（ 14.x） or Windows, and then use it on the Linux system.

Up to 100 TB storage capacity
Equipped with 5 drive bays, it supports a drive capacity of up to 20TB, and the total storage capacity can be up to 100TB (users need to purchase their own hard drives).

The latest USB Type-C interface
The D5-300 adopts the latest USB Type-C interface, which is smaller in size, more reliable in connection and more convenient to use than the previous generation.

Multiple RAID modes
It supports multiple RAID modes: RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10, CLONE, JBOD and Single Disk. Professionals can choose one or more according to application scenarios.

The use of a hardware RAID controller ensures reliable and fast RAID performance, and there is also a specially customized RAID configuration client that increases the simplicity and convenience of RAID management.

Compatible with various 3.5 inch SATA hard drive brands and models, as well as 2.5 inch SATA hard drives and SSDs.

Worry-free power protection
In order to prevent damage to the device and hard disk due to the use of an inappropriate power supply, the device includes a power protection function. If the user tries to connect an incompatible power source, automatic protection is activated.

It has an intelligent, low-noise and temperature-controlled fan. The fan speed is automatically adjusted based on the temperature of the hard drive, which means that the device always stays at the optimal operating temperature.
