The new Xpanstor 4 uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 with a Type-C connector. USB 3.2 Gen 2 can transfer files at speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Xpanstor 4 is also backward compatible with ASUSTOR NAS devices that support USB 3.2 Gen 1, and these devices have a maximum speed of 5 Gbps. Use Xpanstor 4 to expand the capacity of your NAS and increase your workflow according to your needs.

MyArchive Welcome!
Xpanstor 4 supports MyArchive cold data storage technology. Simply insert a MyArchive hard drive into any available slot to access your data, providing extremely convenient data access. With MyArchive, you can set a schedule for automatic attachment and detachment, making your backups easier and more convenient.

In sleep mode, when the NAS is also sleeping
When a connected NAS goes to sleep or shuts down, the Xpanstor 4 simultaneously goes into sleep mode to save power and extend the life of the hardware. The Xpanstor 4 LED brightness is also synchronized with the NAS, so there are no bright lights when the NAS is off.

Cool and quiet
The Xpanstor 4's internal fan automatically adjusts its speed according to the temperature of the hard drives, thus maintaining a balance between sound and performance.

Stable USB connection
Xpanstor 4 has a specially designed USB-C connector and cable. The included cable for the Xpanstor 4 is fixed with two screws on the side of the unit to ensure that it is securely connected to the expansion unit and cannot be accidentally detached. The included USB cable is non-specific and replaceable, ensuring a longer lifespan and less electronic waste.

PC friendly!
Xpanstor 4 also works well as a DAS (Direct-Attached Storage) solution. Connect the Xpanstor 4t to a computer to access up to four independent drives that can be used by Windows, Mac or Linux machines for applications such as data storage, drive cloning and diagnostics.
