The "initiation" the word - by the way - involuntarily brings to mind religious mysteries and the communication of secret teachings. In fact, it is a correct and apt expression in this sense as well. Because the disciple's point of view rises to such high regions in the initiation, he sees connections between himself and Nature that are inaccessible even to the deepest philosophy, and cannot even be approached by the average human way of thinking. The perception of the disciple. according to him, he changes as he gradually becomes aware of all the subtle levels of his unconscious mind-functions to which his self-awareness can rise and which can become conscious to him in the course of the practice of immersion. And this becoming aware is always clear with the expression of some new kind of knowledge, with the unfolding of a knowledge and a circle of consciousness into which the development really initiates the student, without his intellectual development leading him to that point gradually, through the continuous growth of his knowledge based on human traditions . Each initiation always leads to a whole circle of new kinds of cognitions, in which the older cognitions no longer have a full right to exist, in fact they don't even have a proper place, since they become transcended and lose their meaning. At each initiation level, the disciple loses the "up to that" himself and is, as it were, "reborn", in a - for him - new world of new kinds of knowledge!
