Product description
There are few debut volumes on the literary market where not only the uniformly high quality of the poems, but also a sumptuous wreath of sonnets convinces us that we want to be its readers. If Timur Bék has any secrets, they are of the classic kind: talent not wasted, work, strong self-criticism, high bar. His lines, however, make themselves read with an easy naturalness. They create a world, one that we can continue to build with our questions. Éva Farkas Wellmann was born in the winter of 1997. He grew up in Szászvár, then graduated from Bonyhád, and is currently studying Hungarian, media, pedagogy and Pink Floyd at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Szeged. He has been writing poems since 2013, and his writings have been published by Bárka, Irodalmi Jelen, Kortárs and Tiszatáj, among others. Most of all, perhaps, he is afraid of being forgotten. This is his first volume. While we were trying to capture the heat outside, we, unlucky animal-people, could imagine time as space and perceived space as matter. The old language the language of these delusions. The old language has no power here, in ourselves, to recite the ineffable poems of the mind.
