Vagyim Panov - A prófécia (2019)

A second, magical world, the world of witches and sorcerers - that is, a complicated society of alien species with different magical abilities and constantly at war with each other - has existed parallel to everyday reality since the dawn of time. After being chased by humans for centuries, these mysterious creatures retreated to a single city, which is still hidden from ordinary mortals with powerful magic. But the secret slowly comes to light as more and more inexplicable crimes occur in Moscow, and police detective Kornilov does not understand the connections for the first time in his life...

That is, Panov's series creates an impressively original, completely new and complex world, in which magic fits together with the most modern technology, the office building next door can turn out to be a masterfully disguised witch farm, and the conflicts of parallel cultures slowly seeping into people's everyday life are sometimes creepy, sometimes very funny, but the reader is drawn into dizzyingly exciting adventures throughout.

After Sergej Lukyanenko's Watch series and Dmitry Ghlokovsky's Metro 2033 book, a new urban fantasy world success from Russia.
