      The TP-LINK MC111CS Omada is a WDM media converter that links 10/100 Mbps copper networks with 100BASE-FX fiber optic networks. Thanks to WDM technology, data is transmitted and received over a single optical fibre, which significantly reduces cabling costs.

      The device transmits at 1550 nm and receives at 1310 nm, enabling data transfer over distances of up to 20 km on single-mode fibre cable. A compatible remote unit, such as the MC112CS, is required at the other end of the link. The converter features one RJ45 LAN port with automatic MDI/MDI-X support and an SC/UPC optical connector.

      It can be used as a standalone desktop unit or mounted in a standard 19-inch rack. Weighing 200 g, it is lightweight and simple to install.
