The TP-Link Omada ES208G is an 8-port Gigabit Layer 2 switch designed for home networks and small offices. Its Easy Managed design makes setup simple: connect it and it is ready to use with plug-and-play operation. The fanless housing runs completely silently, and the sturdy metal chassis can be mounted on a wall or placed on a desk.

Central management is handled through the cloud-based Omada SDN system, accessible via a web browser or app. Supported features include VLAN, port isolation, QoS, IGMP snooping, automatic loop prevention and a cable test function to help identify wiring faults.

With 16 Gbps switching capacity, 11.9 Mpps packet throughput and a MAC address table for 8,000 entries, the ES208G is suited to steady everyday traffic. Users describe it as reliable, and power consumption at idle is listed at roughly 7 to 8 W.
