The SMSL AL400 is a compact desktop integrated amplifier with a built-in DAC, delivering 2x160 W into 4 ohms. It uses a Class D TPA3255 amplifier chip, designed to produce clear, dynamic sound with low distortion. The power output suits a range of bookshelf and standing speakers in a home or workspace setup.

Connectivity includes an HDMI input with eARC support, an optical input and a USB port. Wireless playback is available via Bluetooth with aptX-HD and LDAC support. The onboard CS43131 DAC handles digital audio up to 32-bit/768 kHz, as well as DSD256 and MQA decoding. A built-in phono preamplifier accepts both MM and MC cartridges, making it easy to connect a turntable.

Tone control offers three bands along with phase and bass adjustment. The silver aluminium chassis is paired with gold-plated connectors, and the menu system and full remote control keep operation simple.
