SLZB-06M is a platform-independent, universal Zigbee adapter with Ethernet, PoE, USB and Wi-Fi connection options. We can connect the device to the hub locally via USB, via a wired Ethernet connection, - with the help of PoE even ensuring its power supply - or even via Wi-Fi to the local hub.

The device is specially designed to support Zigbee-based smart home systems such as Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA.

In the case of a larger Zigbee network, several coordinators can be used with one server, so the size of the Zigbee network can be flexibly increased by installing several adapters.

The 20dB signal booster significantly increases the stability and range of the connection of Zigbee devices, especially in the case of longer distances or physical obstacles. And the 5dB antenna provides a strong signal over a wide area, making it ideal in environments where multiple Zigbee devices need to be connected.

The SLZB-06M device supports both Zigbee 3.0 modes: it can work as a coordinator or a router. The mode of the device can be easily changed by installing the appropriate firmware, which can be done through the web interface. Users can thus flexibly switch between the coordinator and router functions according to the specific network needs.

The SLZB-06M coordinator can act as a Matter-over-Thread router over an Ethernet connection thanks to the recent update of the OpenThread Border Router add-on. The new function enables communication between the Matter protocol and the Thread network, strengthening the integration of smart home devices.

Hardware:

The device uses EFR32MG21 and ESP32 chips, which provides a stable, reliable connection to control up to 200+ Zigbee devices simultaneously. The module comes with pre-installed firmware, so it is ready to use immediately.

The SLZB-06M adapter is a more advanced version of the SLZB-06 and uses the Silicon Labs EFR32MG21 chip, which provides more stable operation especially for ZHA (Zigbee Home Automation) systems. This chip provides a better Link Quality Indicator (LQI) compared to the CC2652P chip, which is especially useful in larger networks where signal stability is critical. The SLZB-06M version is a more future-proof solution than the basic model in terms of smart home integrations.

The EFR32MG21 provides higher reliability and a more stable connection, making it ideal for users who integrate multiple Zigbee devices into a single system and for whom network stability is paramount.

- Chipset: The EFR32MG21 chip is fully compatible with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant ZHA systems.
