SMLIGHT SLZB-MR4U is a multi-protocol LAN/Wi-Fi/USB gateway that offers Zigbee 3.0 coordinator/router function and Thread (Matter over Thread) support in one compact device. The +20 dBm transmitter power and approx. With the help of an external antenna with +5 dBi gain, a stable, long-range mesh network can be built, making it an ideal choice for home and semi-professional smart home installations.

The SLZB-MR4U can be used via Ethernet (PoE 48V), Wi-Fi or USB, and the built-in web interface allows you to switch between Zigbee coordinator/router and Thread mode with one click. The SLZB-OS system offers extras such as remote OTA updates, IEEE address exchange, scripting support and secure VPN access.

Especially recommended for Home Assistant (ZHA/Zigbee2MQTT/OpenThread) systems and Matter-compatible ecosystems. It offers a future-proof, cloud-independent solution where fast migration and stable local control are important.

The "U" edition is an improved version of the SLZB-MR4U: it adds hardware process control to both radios' SoCs, software-controlled RJ45 LEDs, and USB mode allows both radios to appear as separate USB serial devices. Furthermore, the USB-passthrough (USB-over-IP) function is supported, so that USB radios (e.g. ZWA-2) can also be used over a network.
