The Samyang MF12mm f/2.0 lens has long been a favorite of astrophotographers and landscape photographers. This new Samyang AF 12mm F / 2.0 E has the autofocus system and a new modern design. The AF 12mm f/2.0 has outstanding image quality and sharpness. Weighing just 213g and just 59.2mm long, the new 12mm model strikes the perfect balance between portability and outstanding performance, making it the lightest and smallest AF 12mm lens on the market.
The construction of the lens consists of 12 groups, 10 groups with 5 special glass (1 H-ASP, 1 ASP and 3 ED); three ultra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical (H-ASP and ASP) elements have been incorporated into the optical design to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortions to give users sharper images. UMC (Ultra Multi Coating) has been applied to the lens elements to reduce surface reflections, prevent lens flare and ghosting, and provide better light transmission and higher contrast. Thanks to the optical construction, the lens provides outstanding image quality from the center to the edge of the image, even at a maximum aperture of f / 2.0. The housing is all metal and the lens is Weatherproof, which ensures use even in harsh weather conditions.
