Product description
This paper describes in a contemplative form those parts of the world and the life of humanity, which can be observed when spiritual cognition crosses the boundaries separating the sensual world from the spiritual world. We do not aim for systematic description or completeness in any respect; we are just trying to draw some pictures of the experience of being a spirit in a free form. In this sense, this writing complements and expands my other writings, just as my work The Road to Self-Knowledge was published last year. However, this time too, I tried to make my thesis understandable independently, without the knowledge of the others. Anyone who really wants to get to know the field of spiritual science will feel the need to look at the spiritual realm of life from a new and new perspective. Naturally, each such description turns out to be somewhat one-sided. Moreover, in the case of the description of the spiritual realm, this is much more common than in the sensual world. Therefore, anyone who is satisfied with a single description of this area is hardly seriously concerned with the issue of spiritual cognition. With such writings as this one, I would like to do a good service to each and every one of my readers who take the exploration and knowledge of the spirit world seriously. That is why I try to explain the spiritual realities that I have already described in my writings from certain aspects, from other aspects as well. Such descriptions complement each other, as do photographs taken in different settings of the same person or process. With each description, which is made from a certain point of view, we have the opportunity to communicate knowledge that cannot be obtained from another point of view. For those who themselves strive to see the spirit, this article offers new information as material for their reflection. The reader will notice this if he searches for them so that he can apply them in a suitable way in the spiritual life. Munich, August 1913 Rudolf Steiner
