The RØDE NTG3 is the flagship shotgun microphone in the manufacturer's range, designed for demanding broadcast, film and theatre recording. It uses a true condenser capsule and a supercardioid pickup pattern that delivers a full, detailed sound with high sensitivity. A special capsule biasing technology makes the microphone highly resistant to condensation, so it performs reliably in humid conditions and under large temperature swings.

The bronze body is sturdy yet weighs only 163 grams, making it comfortable to mount on a camera or hold on a boom pole. The electronics produce 50% less self-noise than earlier NTG models. High resistance to radio frequency interference and low handling noise transmission help keep the recordings clean.

The package includes a waterproof aluminium case, an RM5 shock mount, a WSNTG3 foam windshield and a ZP2 faux-leather microphone pouch. The microphone is available in matte nickel or with a black ceramic coating.
