Podhorszky-Pálfi Sándor - Az erdélyi népművészetek albuma

From Transylvania's tumultuous past, the ancient folk life, architecture, literature, and art have few memories of the no less tumultuous present. Therefore, we have to preserve what we have all the more carefully. After all, even strangers are captured by the splendor of color and richness of form of our folk art memories, how much more can they capture the attention of those who must see in them not only beauty and originality, but also the manifestation of the spirit, imagination, and unconscious artistic instinct of the Hungarian people. These memories make up the actual spiritual treasure and ancient heritage of a people.
