Osvát Erzsébet - Ribillió

Hungarian readers are less familiar with the few but valuable children's literature born in Transcarpathia. For this reason, Erzsébet Osvát was considered a second-rate writer, but time proved that this was not true, and she was ripe for a selection of poems with a fresh approach. The volume mainly includes personified nature and our environment. From this microcosm, we rise towards the clouds and the celestial band, the rainbow, and travel to a magical world. We can watch the birds, take a peek into the evening life, lights and silence of a child's room. We can hear the rain playing, and the fog king, the wind, the dancing snowflakes appear. We can fly over the roofs, back to the city, to the playground, or to the life of the poultry yard and gardens and forests. Alexandra Faltisz illustrates the poems with charming characters and airy, humorous images.
