Marjorie Liu - Monstress - Fenevad 1.

Wolf-blooded Maika is mocked as a monster... and they are not far from the truth.

The world was turned upside down by the terrible war that humans fought against their hated enemies, the arcanes. Maika lost not only half of her arm, but also her freedom in the fighting, and is sold as a slave to the witches of Zamora, who derive their strength from the blood of the arcanes. However, even the powerful sorceresses do not know that an ancient, cosmically powerful, starving beast lies dormant in the girl's body, just waiting for the opportunity to break out...
