Lois Duncan - Időbe zárva - Locked in time

The secret of youth is to die for.

Nore Roberts didn't want a new life, but after her mother died and her father remarried, she had to find a new home in Árnyasliget in an old mansion from the Civil War era, where her new family lives. When he meets his stepmother, Lisette, he is immediately struck by her youth and beauty. Although her step-siblings are friendly, it later becomes more and more obvious that they are hiding something from her. Nore begins to dig into their past, and after some startling oddities come to light, she realizes that her hunch was very sound. Can she uncover her stepmother's dark secret before she herself falls victim to the evil spell?

Lois Duncan has always been one of my biggest inspirations. As a teenager, I devoured his novels, reading them over and over again, even though the cold ran down my spine. Duncan is a master of creating tension, so he can count on you to fall under his influence, and he will bring the funk on you too.
