The first volume of Bálint L. Takács is a free and independent book, a meandering journey to the other side of reality. Bad trip's stories are both psychedelic nightmares and stark mental images from the recesses of the psyche. The book is not a medical history, nor a history of the times - although countless motifs of contemporary pop culture appear in it - but rather discovery, experimentation, social and existential criticism, in hallucinogenic-new-wave-minimal prose. A good text goes beyond itself, gives a sensual experience and makes you think. The texts of Bálint L. Takács are like this - his vision and tone of voice are original, his humor shines black, his words are in their place: literary DMT from the age of machine elves and dragon crystals.
