The writings, reviews and studies that can be read in the volume were written in the last decade. When I started my studies at the Doctoral School of Literature at the University of Szeged in 2007, in addition to popular culture and press history between the two world wars, my focus was primarily on the socio-cultural spaces of the authors of the West, their geographical interests, and the identity-forming mechanisms of their travels. The articles published here were initially "by-products" of the dissertation, which was being prepared and then completed, related to my research topic. Later, it became more and more clear that the spatial poetic dimensions of the Hungarian literature of classical modernity are incomprehensible to the wider milieu, the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, and the understanding of the landscape experiences of the subsequent conglomerates, the desire to interpret the monarchic and post-monarchic literature, the region, the intermediate European state of being. without. This is how it turned out, after a while, already consciously, that my criticisms and studies born in the scope of the modern and contemporary literature of the Carpathian Basin respectively researched the patterns of minority, multiculturalism, cultural border situations, and minority interpretations of existence. After that, I no longer found the volumes of authors who were interesting to me mainly from these aspects.
