Komáromi Gabriella - Emlékeim diribdarabjai

Half-minute stories, says their author about these writings out of respect for Örkény. He tried the forms of the moment, it is fitting that most of his writings are classic short stories, but there are also longer narratives among them. The story suddenly "writes itself" and sets its own limits. The characters in the stories are the people he lived among; and his scenes are the scenes of his life. This world is vast both in time and space. The tragic fate of his great-grandmother takes him to the 19th century, and the reader can travel with him in many places, from Norway to Russia. When he "put down his pen", he realized that his life was much more interesting than he had imagined. "A short story - as Iván Mándy wrote - requires luck. You have to meet something that ignites the imagination, the memory, reminds us of something that is or is not, happened or never happened." The Reader will probably judge that the literary historian and critic Gabriella Komáromi is also worthy of attention as a fiction writer.
