Karinthy Frigyes - Humoreszkek IV.
2 230 Ft
Product description
The 12th volume of the series contains humor sketches from three original selections. The interesting thing about Írói's Intimates, published in 1919, is that it has since escaped the attention of philologists, perhaps because Karinthy wrote the little book together with co-authors - Gyula Szini and Kornél Tábori. In this small collection, the writer who innovated Hungarian humor and satire returns to the ancient, thousands-year-old tradition and writes anecdotes. The 1921 Ne bántsuk száchn is still full of humoresques born in the atmosphere of the war, and the 1926 Panoráma is again full of genre interest: most of the writings are a transition between the humoresque and the humorous narrative. We indicated earlier that Karinthy never tolerated any restrictions, least of all aesthetic or literary theory rules. That is also why the comments that he ``wasted his talent'' and ``exchanged his skills for a pittance'' are inaccurate. Each of his humorous essays is worth more, a more rounded and finished work of art, than someone else's novel or novel. The volumes he originally compiled reflect the diversity of his personality and art. ;
