The main character of the book is Giacomo Ponti, the son of the world, who lives at the same time in the present and the distant past, in reality and in the world of poetry (dream). He seduces the wife of a mayor, for which he has to answer in court - and he himself, as the Socrates of our time, delivers his defense speech. Dato Magradze's poem is woven through and through humor, (self) irony, criticism of contemporaries - conventions, nota bene: politicians.
