This adapter cable links a Slim SATA connector to a SATA power connector and a Molex plug. It lets you power a Slim SATA drive, such as a slimline optical drive, from a desktop power supply that offers only SATA or Molex connectors.
At 50 cm long, the cable is suitable for most PC cases. Both connectors are male, and the red cable makes it easy to spot in a build and keeps cable management tidy.
This is a power-only adapter and does not carry data. The data connection needs to be made separately with a SATA data cable.
