Court de gebelin Egyiptomi Tarot
Product description
Antoine court de Gebelin (1728-1784) had a great influence on the development of the occult-esoteric Tarot with his work Le Monde Primitif (The Primitive World). In his work, he talks about the fact that the Tarot is of Egyptian origin and that it was spread around the world by the Gypsies. The great arcanum, i.e. the great secret, corresponds to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Thus, the Tarot is nothing more than a symbolic record of human knowledge. With the help of deep-rooted mystical powers, the card fulfills the miracles of psychological insight, wise advice and accurate divination. During his life, Gebelin came into contact with Freemasonry and was active in several lodges in Paris, thereby influencing the development of the lodges. He also met Mesmer, who was a researcher and healer of animal magnetism. Thus, he himself seriously dealt with Mesmer's teachings. His views on tarot were way ahead of his time. The card is available in a boxed version. Size: 8 cm x 10 cm
