Brenna Yovanoff - Stranger Things - Mad Max Hawkinsban

Before he became Hawkins Mad Max...
Max Mayfield always stood out from the crowd. Despite her mother's best efforts, she has not turned into a cute, cute little girl, and she prefers to spend her time in the playroom than doing girly activities. At least his friends were close to him in California, but in Hawkins, in the middle of nowhere, he has nothing but his tyrannical stepbrother, his harsh stepfather and his helpless mother. It's lucky that there is also a game room in this dust nest...
And something else too. Max soon discovers that Hawkins is a more exciting - and far more dangerous - place than he ever imagined, and that the ghost boys from the school hold dark secrets. And then we haven't even talked about the mysterious girl with special abilities, Tizi. Max will need all his tenacity and ingenuity to save Hawkins with his newfound friends from the brain-suckers and hordes of demogorgons - and himself from his steamed-up stepbrother Billy.
Showing the terrifying events of the fall of 1984 from a new perspective, Mad Max Hawkins is the fascinating origin story of one of the most beloved Stranger Things characters.
