Arday Géza - Kísért a múlt

Written by Géza Arday and published in 2022, this book examines a distinctive phenomenon that became part of everyday life after 1945: the absence of consequences, which led to a widespread crisis of values. Its focus is on the writing and personal backgrounds of the children of officials from the Rákosi and Kádár eras.

The volume shows in detail how the political past shaped both literary works and individual life paths. The analysis connects the discussion of specific works with a look at personal biographies.

As a work of social science, the book offers an in-depth view of a particular aspect of Hungarian history that continues to influence the country's culture and society.
