The ZTE MF986D is a 4G LTE mobile router that turns a SIM card's mobile data connection into a Wi-Fi network. It lets tablets, laptops and smartphones get online without a wired connection or a public hotspot, as long as mobile signal is available.
The device creates its own password-protected Wi-Fi network, offering more privacy and security than public networks. Dual-band support lets it operate on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with speeds of up to 866 Mbps. Up to 32 devices can connect at the same time.
The compact white unit has a 1.44-inch TFT display showing signal strength, battery status and Wi-Fi mode. It is well suited to travel and mobile work, as it is easy to carry and can be used anywhere mobile coverage is available.
