      Two East German girls hitchhike to Lake Balaton in the summer of 1980. In Balatonfüred, they meet a group of Hungarian university students who invite them to the capital. So they hitchhike to Budapest to meet their new friends, but they never arrive... Three years earlier, a high school girl from Csepel goes to Zugló to visit her friend to prepare for a paper the next day. He is last seen at the Boráros tér HÉV stop, then presumably gets into a car and disappears. Had they been kidnapped by the same person? And if so, why? At all: what happened to them? Are they still alive? Senior Lieutenant Máté Adorján, who is leading the investigation, must find the answers to these questions. He is also helped in this by his girlfriend, the beautiful psychiatrist Laura Lendvay, who tries to draw a criminal profile of the perpetrator (or perpetrators) based on the available data. However, the ending surprises them all...
