The city of Baldur's Gate teems with intrigue, gold and treachery. In the board game Builders of Baldur's Gate, you return to the legendary city as the head of a powerful family. Here, however, it's not enough to just build a shop — you have to survive the onslaught of monsters from outside the walls and manage the capricious loyalties of the city's three powerful factions:
the Council of Four, the Flaming Fist and the Thieves' Guild.

As you establish new businesses in one of the nine districts, each decision you make will give you greater influence—or greater danger. The streets of the city are constantly in motion: casual alliances are made and then broken, while families try to take advantage of the growing chaos for their own purposes.

Families who skillfully balance gold, power, influence and protection slowly take control of the city. But the attacks of the monsters can upset everything at any time…
