Among high-end music listeners, playing high-resolution (24-bit, up to 192 KHz) music files from a network or external storage is becoming more common, e.g. APE, FLAC, DSD with lossless file formats. Thus, nowadays all well-known manufacturers offer network "streamers" and external DACs (digital-to-analog converters) so that we can "feed" our amplifiers with the highest quality signal for better sound. When Linkplay created the WiiM brand, it targeted fans of quality music playback, as their very first, smallest model, the Mini, used a 24-bit Burr-Brown DAC, and it also supported and still supports the high-resolution MQA format of the TIDAL premium music service (and 24-bit FLAC music). The second model, the WiiM Pro, therefore offers more in terms of services rather than sound quality, and also includes an optical input and an ethernet connector. In terms of sound, the WiiM Pro Plus now brings a step up - mainly thanks to the AKM 4493SEQ DAC chip.

Since WiiM Pro has already received numerous praiseworthy presentations, Pro Plus naturally continues this "tradition", since Linkplay further developed Pro based primarily on the opinions published on social media.

So here's how the Pro Plus has improved over the Pro:

Thanks to the Burr-Brown analog-to-digital converter, the line input is 24-bit/192 kHz (24-bit/48 kHz in the Pro),
thus, the signal/noise ratio of the analog input improved from 91 dB to 106 dB, instead of the previous 1 Vrms, it was at the level of 2 Vrms.
The AKM DAC in the Pro Plus is 32-bit/768 kHz (DSD512 capable), while the Burr-Brown in the Pro is capable of 32-bit/384 kHz,
thus, the signal-to-noise ratio of the DAC improved from 102 dB to 120 dB, and the THD+N value improved from 0.009 (-81 dB) to 0.00032% (-110 dB).
