VIVOTEK MD8565-N is a compact 2 megapixel IR mobile dome network camera aimed at a wide range of transportation applications such as buses, trains and other vehicles. With a full EN50155 T1, IP66, IK10 and NEMA 4X rated rugged design, the camera can withstand shock, vibration, humidity, dust and even temperature fluctuations to ensure a stable and reliable image while the vehicle is in motion. Equipped with a built-in 940 nm invisible IR illumination, the MD8565-N can provide excellent image quality even in total darkness at a distance of 10 meters, while not disturbing the driver. This combination of high-resolution imaging and protective housing provides the MD8565-N with the high reliability required to maximize driver and passenger safety and optimize mobile surveillance.

Utilizing VIVOTEK's Smart Stream II technology, the MD8565-N reduces bandwidth and storage usage by up to 50% while maintaining a high level of image quality. In addition, the Power over Ethernet (PoE) function allows the camera to be operated and powered by a single Ethernet cable, making it easier to install. Finally, to facilitate onboard storage, data portability and local backup, the camera is equipped with a micro SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot for local recording.
