Viski Károly - Tiszafüredi cserépedények

Tiszafüred is a large village with a lowland character on the northern edge of the Great Plain, on the left bank of the Tisza, in Heves county. Among the vessels from Tiszafüred, the most characteristic are drink holders and drinking vessels at the same time: miskas, orrosos, butykos, flasks, which are mostly made to order and therefore often bear the owner's name. The Tiszafüred pottery, like the Great Plains in general, is particularly noteworthy in terms of ethnography and folk art, because its historical development was not the same as the development of the pottery of the Highlands or Transylvania.
