The VEO PV-14 is a CNC-machined, Arca-compatible video head with a maximum load capacity of 8kg and smooth, fluid movement, making it suitable for almost any video camera (or spotting scope or long lens).

The VEO PV-14 is a lightweight, CNC-machined, Arca-compatible, closed-bridge video head with a maximum load capacity of 8kg that provides smooth, fluid movement, suitable for almost any video camera (or spotting scope or long lens).

As a "closed bridge" video head, it has the traditional two contact points on each side of the body, as opposed to the "open bridge" single contact point design, which saves some weight without sacrificing stability (as on the VEO PV-18).

The head comes with a thin but long Arca-compatible QS-71P quick release plate that provides a secure base for attaching the camcorder to the head. It includes an adjustable thread and a twist-free spring pin to ensure that the camcorder is always aimed precisely and does not come loose during use.

This allows you to mount your camera (or spotting scope or long lens) on the Arca-compatible quick release system in seconds. Simply place the quick release plate into the clamp and tighten. To remove, simply loosen the clamp and press the downward button to lower the non-slip safety pin, then lift it out.

Since this head has an Arca-compatible clamp, if your spotting scope or binoculars have an Arca-compatible base, it can be fitted directly into the clamp for the most secure attachment possible.

When set up, the head comes with a spirit bubble that you can use to check if your head is level.

In use, the head has a detachable 215mm long handle that can be adjusted for left- or right-handed use. This can then be loosened and folded next to the stand for storage.

On the side of the head is an oversized vertical locking knob that allows the head to be adjusted between -45° and +90°. The speed of the movement can be adjusted by changing the setting, thus providing more control.

On the side of the base there is a separate 360° pan-lock, which you can use to rotate or lock the head in 360°.

On the side of the head is a 3/8" thread with a 1/4" adapter, with anti-slip bayonet locks on both sides. This allows you to attach a Magic Arm to your side with an accessory to get the most out of your photography. You can mount any brand of Magic Arm, we recommend the VEO TSA DLX as they include Vanguard's Anti-Slip Bayonet Locks to ensure the Magic Arm does not slip while in use.

With a 50mm diameter base, it is ideal for a wide range of 3/8" threaded tripods (but can be used with any 1/4" threaded tripod with the included adapter).
