STORYTELLING is my profession, my dear friends, this can now be boldly stated. I AM STORY. It's no coincidence that I started my career as a novelist, and despite the fact that my novels received a brighter spotlight (I mean, I do the same in them, only with a greater momentum and scale), I've remained so to this day. Short story writer. And, isn't it, hopeful.

The so-called A few years ago, Almost Everything was published in my oeuvre series, which actually wanted to be a selected volume of short stories. The title is more funny than accurate: roughly half of my works written in this genre fit into it. I don't think half of the remaining 50% is worth republishing. The other half is included in this volume. On the one hand, they are really old, which were published under the title Bar in 1998. On the other hand, there are really new ones that I have written under the faction heading in recent years. Faction is a recently used category in Anglo-Saxon countries, and texts that straddle the border between fiction and non-fiction fiction and non-fiction are called this.

So: bar novels + Factions. (The use of lowercase and uppercase letters is intentional.) They are separated by a narrow quarter of a century. It is possible to observe whether the author has developed during this time. If so, how? from where where?

Perhaps it would be appropriate if I didn't write any more short stories after that, and this volume could be the capstone of the genre in my (current) life. However, I wouldn't make any promises, no matter how much I love capstones and starting stones.
