Vallássosság Magyarországon

Compared to European traditions of religious research, we are now publishing significantly deeper, more exploratory research. During 2017, the Social Science Research Group of the Századvég Foundation came to the experience of the contents of the volume by interviewing an incomparably large sample of fifty-three thousand people. The research, covering all levels of settlements in all counties of Hungary, searched for the answer to exactly how and how openness to religious experience changes, and what forms the experience of faith takes. Our study volume provides an overview of European trends and also examines factors that have not been previously covered by other research. The analysis of the aspects of personal religious practice and the presentation of religious plasticity are the most important results of the research. The analyzes placed great emphasis on revealing what the two-thirds of society, which is the so-called can be classified as malleable religiosity. We are talking about the group that cannot be described as rigid in the matter of faith. The studies basically examine the religious experience, giving a more accurate picture than ever before of Hungarian society's relationship to faith - of course also keeping in mind the issues of religious affiliation.
