The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is a high-performance LTE/5G modem designed for outdoor installation. It adds a reliable mobile connection to any UniFi Cloud Gateway or UniFi Gateway, making it suitable for locations where no wired internet connection is available.

The device supports two SIM cards, and the second can be either a physical SIM or an eSIM. If the primary connection fails, the system switches over seamlessly to the backup link, which is important for critical applications. A 2.5G Ethernet port handles the local network connection and also receives power via 802.3at PoE.

Thanks to its rugged housing, the modem is rated IPX6 and withstands harsh weather conditions. With the included cable gland, protection can be raised to IP67. The built-in directional high-gain antenna provides stronger and more stable reception outdoors, improving signal quality and extending coverage.
