    The TP-LINK TL-SG108 is an 8-port desktop switch with RJ45 ports that each support 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation. It connects network devices in small offices and home networks, and it suits anyone who wants to upgrade existing cabling to Gigabit Ethernet and speed up the transfer of large files.

    Auto MDI/MDIX detection means crossover cables are not needed. Each port detects the connection speed automatically, and IEEE 802.3x flow control keeps data transfer reliable. IEEE 802.1p QoS supports smooth streaming of video and voice traffic, while IGMP Snooping optimises multicast data flows.

    The switch is plug-and-play and requires no configuration. Its steel housing can sit on a desk or be mounted on a wall. Green Ethernet technology adjusts power use to link status and cable length and puts unused ports into a low-power state.
