The TOPPING E50 II is a compact desktop DAC and preamplifier built around an AKM AK4497S converter chip and an XMOS XU316 USB interface. It natively supports DSD512 and PCM up to 768 kHz, and its LDAC Bluetooth connectivity allows high-resolution wireless playback.
According to the manufacturer, the unit offers a dynamic range of 131 dB and a very low THD+N of 0.0001%. It features dual TRS and RCA outputs as well as an optical input compatible with ADAT.
A 10-band parametric equalizer is available through the TOPPING Tune software, and the TOPPING Home mobile app makes control convenient. The E50 II suits modern desktop, studio and hi-fi setups where precisely adjustable sound is important.
