TERRAMASTER F4-425

The TerraMaster F4-425 is a network attached storage (NAS) server with four drive bays for 3.5" and 2.5" SATA HDDs and SSDs, designed for central data storage, sharing and backup in home and small office environments. It is powered by a quad-core Intel N5095 processor and comes with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM as standard, expandable up to 16 GB. The 2.5 Gigabit LAN port offers faster data transfer than a conventional gigabit connection. The unit includes three USB ports and weighs about 2.1 kg.

Photo management is handled by the Terra Photos system, which recognises faces, animals, objects and landscapes and sorts libraries automatically. Analysis runs directly on the device, so your pictures are not sent to external cloud services. Multiple independent user accounts with separate permissions, along with encryption and a firewall under the TOS 6 operating system, help keep personal and shared files apart and protected.

TerraSync and the TNAS PC Client keep files on your computer and the NAS synchronised in real time, while backups can be made from computers, smartphones and USB drives. The server also supports hardware-accelerated 4K video transcoding and works with Plex, Emby and Jellyfin for streaming media at home.
