Tasty Me Spiced Orange Cake Mix is a 300 g baking mix for making a spiced orange sponge cake at home. It is gluten-free and lactose-free, and it contains no palm oil and no hydrogenated fats, which makes it suitable for shoppers following a health-conscious diet or special dietary needs.
Preparation is simple. Mix the contents of the pouch with 90 g of butter and 150 g of eggs (3 medium eggs) on medium speed for about 3 minutes, then bake the batter in an 18 cm diameter tin at 170 °C for roughly 50 minutes. For a lactose-free version, the butter can be replaced with 90 g of vegetable oil.
The mix is made from sugar, rice flour, corn starch, spices, natural flavourings and raising agents.
