    You can add up to 96 disk slots to compatible units with the Synology RX1223RP expansion unit. Extend or create new volumes without downtime or service outages thanks to online storage expansion.

    Storage expansion on the fly
    The RX1223RP offers easy storage expansion with 12 disk slots for 3.5"/2.5" SATA HDD/SDD drives.

    Up to eight RX1223RP expansion units can be added to compatible servers for a total of 1.7 petabytes of additional raw storage.

    Redundant design for extreme reliability
    Modular drive trays and system fans allow for easy and quick replacement, so maintenance will have minimal impact on service availability. Redundant power supplies keep data online even in the event of a power source failure.
