The Supermicro AOM-TPM-9670H is a Trusted Platform Module in add-on module form, designed for installation on Supermicro server motherboards. It stores computer-generated encryption keys in hardware and carries out all cryptographic functions on the module itself, helping keep keys, passwords and digital certificates safer from external software attacks and physical theft.

The module is TCG 2.0 compliant and includes a hardware accelerator for SHA-1 and SHA-256, a random number generator and an EEPROM for TCG firmware as well as user data and keys. It supports Intel Trusted Execution Technology and the AMD Secure Virtual Machine architecture, and offers protection against dictionary attacks and pre-generation of RSA keys. It connects through an SPI interface, and built-in support is available in the Linux kernel.

The module operates from a 3.3 V supply across a temperature range of -20 °C to +80 °C, and an energy-saving sleep mode reduces power consumption. It suits customers looking to add an extra layer of security to their Supermicro servers.
