SUNSUN UV-C lamp 55W CUV-655

The SunSun CUV-655 is a 55 W UV-C lamp designed for ponds and water features holding up to 65,000 litres. It works with systems flowing up to 8,000 l/h and helps limit the growth of free-floating algae, bacteria and other microorganisms that cloud pond water. The UV-C radiation clarifies the water without the use of chemicals, helping keep conditions safe for fish and plants.

Inside the unit, a specially shaped chamber guides the water flow around the UV-C lamp, extending its exposure to the radiation. A stainless steel reflector sends unused UV-C rays back into the chamber. Universal hose connectors in 25, 32, 38 and 50 mm diameters make installation straightforward, and the 5-metre power cable allows the unit to be placed conveniently within the filter system. The housing is made from ASA and ABS plastic.

For koi ponds, the manufacturer recommends roughly 3 W of UV-C power per 1,000 litres of water, which makes this 55 W model suitable for koi ponds of around 18,000 litres. Dimensions are 691 × 261 × 118 mm.
