Stefan Ahnhem - A kockavető

Fabian Risk is sitting next to his comatose daughter Matilda in the Helsingborg hospital when the brutal murder of a Syrian boy presents the city's police with a difficult task. They soon have to realize that the incident was just the prelude to a terrible wave of murders that will sweep the area. The death toll is skyrocketing and the killings seem to have no reason and no pattern. Finally, Fabian is forced to return to work, and his boss, Astrid, has to interrupt her twelve-step alcohol withdrawal regimen in order to manage the many parallel investigations.
In the meantime, Fabian also has to process the information left behind by his deceased colleague Hugo Elvin, so he begins a private investigation that could change the team of detectives that had been forged forever.
