This 25 cm patch cable from StarTech.com connects two network devices over UTP and supports Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE). Its slim Cat6 construction is 36% thinner than standard Cat6 cable, which helps improve airflow and heat dissipation in tight, high-density installations.

The connectors are snagless, protecting the RJ45 clips during installation and reducing the risk of breaking them. The cable uses four twisted pairs of unshielded conductors made from 28AWG bare copper for good conductivity and low resistance, and the RJ45 contacts are gold-plated at 50 microinches for a precise fit.

The flexible, low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) flame-retardant jacket releases little smoke and toxic gas when exposed to extreme heat. According to the manufacturer, the cable is tested to ANSI/TIA 568 C.2 specifications and supports IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 PoE++ with up to 90W, for powering PoE switches, IP cameras and access points.
