The story of DRAGON QUEST I:
Thanks to the heroism of the legendary Erdrick, the lord of the underworld was defeated and peace reigns in Alefgard again. The peace does not last long, however, as the evil Dragonlord has risen and laid siege to the realm with his army of monsters. Now it's your job with Erdrick's descendants to defeat the new evil and save the world from collapse!

Story of Dragon QUEST II:
Several years have passed since Alefgard was saved by the hands of the hero, who was given the same title as his predecessors, about whom legends tell. Erdrick's descendants and their children formed three kingdoms, all of which flourished during the time of peace. However, the darkness began to work again and an army of monsters started against the world to push it back into darkness. Only a handful of Erdrick's young descendants, including princes and princesses, stand between the evil forces and their evil plans. The time has come once again for them to fight and represent the legacy of their predecessors!

Players who have a save game from DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake can obtain the following bonus content in DRAGON QUEST I and DRAGON QUEST II*:

In order to activate the bonus content, DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake saves must be linked to the same account as DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake saves.

Bonus content can only be unlocked if you play DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake first and then DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake.

Bonus content can only be unlocked with DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake (2024) saves, not DRAGON QUEST III: The Seeds of Salvation (2019) saves.
